GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

Year 11 intervention runs on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday after school from 3:00-4:00pm. This is a timetabled lesson for students- so attendance is compulsory. 

Students need to be in their tutor group lines by 8:40am so they can be dismissed to tutor time for 8:45am. Students who are more than 5 minutes late to school will recieve a 60 minute same day detention. If lateness persists, parents will be invited in for a meeting with the attendance team and the student will be placed on punctuality report. 

GLF collaborates

Meridian High School is part of a Multi Academy Trust called GLF. As part of ongoing professional development and staff training, opportunities for staff to come together across the schools in the form of GLF Collaborates. 

On the dates outlined below, the school will close at 12:30pm.

GLF MAT Conference Day

GLF celebrate the development of staff by coming together for an annual Multi Academy Conference. Meridian High School will be closed to students on this date. 

The conference date for the academic year 2024-25 is:
