GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

Moving from Year 6 to secondary school is an exciting milestone, but we understand it can also feel a little daunting. At Meridian High School, we are committed to making this transition as smooth and supportive as possible.

Our transition program helps students feel confident and prepared for the next stage of their education. From taster days to induction events and dedicated pastoral care, we ensure every child feels welcomed and supported.

We work closely with primary schools to understand each student’s strengths and needs, helping them settle into their new environment with ease. Parents and carers are also key partners in this journey, and we provide guidance and resources to support the whole family.

Following on from National Offer Day, parents will receive a welcome letter via email and on the lead up to starting in September we will communicate all of our welcome and transition events via email and our Facebook page. 

We look forward to welcoming our new Year 7 students and helping them thrive in their secondary school adventure!
