Meridian High School Celebrates GCSE and Vocational and Technical Qualification (VTQ) Achievements
Thursday 20 August: Staff and students at Meridian High School in Croydon are celebrating the achievements of this year's Year 11 cohort as they receive their GCSE and VTQ results.
For the second consecutive year, Meridian High School has maintained its GCSE and VTQ outcomes, reflecting the continued hard work, resilience and determination of its students and staff.
Students have achieved success across a wide range of qualifications. The school is particularly proud of the many individual successes achieved across the year group.
Among the cohort's many successes, Ijeoma Anyanwagu achieved multiple grade 9s and 8s across her subjects. Ijeoma is going to study A Level Chemistry, Biology, Physics and Maths at 6th Form.

Mitchel Hutchins secured an excellent mix of GCSE and vocational qualifications, including a Distinction-level award. Mitchel intends to study A Level Biology, Sociology and Psychology.

Kylie Gardner achieved a strong combination of GCSE and vocational qualifications, including top grades, strong outcomes across academic subjects, and Distinction and Merit level vocational awards. Her results reflect the hard work, resilience and determination she has demonstrated throughout her time at Meridian High School.

That is why we are particularly pleased to see our disadvantaged students achieving mathematics outcomes above the national average for the second year in a row. We celebrate subject successes in addition to many individual student success stories across the year group, reflecting the perseverance of our community.
