Study Skills Day â Year 10
On December 16th, Year 10 students were treated to a series of seminars and workshops delivered by outside experts designed to demonstrate the key differences between KS3 study and KS4 and to develop students’ independent study skills.
Workshops focused on a range of areas, including an exploration of each student’s own attitude to study, good time management (for revision), practical revision activities such as the development of new memory techniques, how to devise personal learning goals for the immediate future and improving student’s ability to review their own learning progress.
As well as completing individual independent learning packs and engaging in activities and discussion throughout the day, students will also benefit from free e-support throughout the Spring Term.
Year 10 students were roundly praised by our visitors who were impressed by the focus and energy of students throughout a very full and exhausting program of workshops.
Teachers were impressed with the excellent engagement and behaviour of our students who took part in the day really well.
