REACH Day 3 - Natural History Museum

I had the pleasure of joining some colleagues and our Amazing Year 7 students to a visit of the National History Museum last week. This Experience visit was as part of our third REACH day for 2018/19, with each day having a particular focus:

 

Raising aspiration – Focusing on careers and the future of our student beyond year 11

Experience – Providing experiences that pushes our students out of their comfort zone

Achievement – Developing and deepening knowledge that is covered in the curriculum

Community – Understanding that we are all part of a bigger society

Health – Ensuring students know how to look after what matters, themselves

 

The students really enjoyed the visit and their behaviour was exemplary. A particular highlight was the investigation work they completed in the research lab. The pictures of the day speak a thousand words…
