WE Day @ Wembley
On Wednesday March 7th, thirteen students took part in the fantastic opportunity to attend the WE Day event at the SSE Arena in Wembley with Mr. Costi and Miss Sweeney.
WE Day is an annual event that brings thousands of students from across the UK who aspire to make a difference together. This year’s event was not short of inspiration! Students were offered the amazing opportunity to hear the stories of people from all walks of life and parts of the world.
Particular highlights were hearing the childhood stories of their Royal Highnessess Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie of York, and presentations by Lily Collins and Katie Piper.
Students were also very excited to see Musharaf Asghar and his teacher Mr. Brown, who we had learned about in an assembly from Miss Cooper. It was inspiring to hear this pair speak about how they had worked together to overcome Musharaf’s struggles in school and ensure his success.
We also got to hear from several school-aged individuals who have taken it upon themselves to start their own charitable organizations. It was also fantastic to hear about several younger entrepreneurs who have found success at a similar age to our students through becoming Youtube personalities or singers. We certainly were not disappointed when we heard Shakii’s latest rap or performances by the Tenors and HRVY!
We hope the day allowed students to see that it is never too early to follow their dreams or make a difference. We anticipate the students who attended this fantastic event will soon begin to take action in our own school and community and become ambassadors themselves!
