Language Ambassadors' Japanese Day
On Thursday 7th June, the team of Language Ambassadors went on a trip to the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) at the University of London to learn about the Japanese language and culture.
The part of the day which was the most fun was making Japanese screens and learning how to say 1-10. Three students joined the trip (who are not Ambassadors) because they have worked very hard this year in Spanish. There was a tour of the university where we saw their huge library and we also experienced what it would be like to attend a lecture there as we started the morning off in a lecture hall answering questions about what we already knew about Japan. We didn’t know that there are over 6000 islands which make up Japan and that the number 4 is unlucky. Thank you to Miss Moore for a good day out.
